Abstract

In the power industry, selecting appropriate suppliers plays a significant role in improving performance, increasing reliability, and reducing costs. This study aims to develop evaluation criteria and rank suppliers in the electricity industry. In the first step, the effective criteria for supplier evaluation were identified through a literature review and expert opinions. Then, the weights and importance of these criteria were determined using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Subsequently, seven suppliers of the Mazandaran Regional Electricity Company were selected as alternative options and ranked using the fuzzy TOPKOR method. The results showed that a total of 33 criteria are effective in evaluating suppliers in the power industry, among which quality, reliability, and on-time delivery were identified as the most important criteria, respectively. The final ranking results also determined the order of the suppliers. The findings of this study can serve as a practical guideline for decision-making in supplier selection and evaluation in the power industry.
